The Center for Community Health and Well-Being and Go T.E.C.H. are hosting the seventh annual Employee Health Fair on Wednesday, May 25th, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. All faculty and staff are invited to attend the Health Fair free of charge.
The Employee Health Fair will take place in both the Campus Recreation Center and Stamps Health Services from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. Visit the main floor of the Campus Recreation Center for vendor tabling, free samples, fitness demonstrations, and more. Additional bio-metric health screenings and vendor tables will be available in the first floor of Stamps Health Services in the Joseph Whitehead building.
Vendors from on campus as well as the Atlanta area will be present to provide information regarding their programs and services. Confirmed vendors include Kaiser Permanente, Blue Cross Blue Shield of GA, HealthCheck, Office of Human Resources, Campus Recreation Center, American Diabetes Association, Suntrust Banks, Tech Dentistry, DePoe Eye Center and more.
Health screenings will be available from 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. in two location this year: Stamps Health Services and the CRC. These screenings help detect health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and assess the function of vital organs. Stamps Health Services will host Kaiser Permanente members for FREE bio-metric screenings. A link to register for these screenings will be available soon. FREE for Kaiser members at Georgia Tech. Not a Kaiser Permanente member? Visit HealthCheck at the Campus Recreation Center, who will offer affordable blood and lipid screenings to anyone who wishes to be screened. Fees vary based on the type of screening selected. H.S.A. payments accepted!
